He was predeceased by: the mother of his children Rachel M. Cardinal; his parents, Frank Keats and Gloria Keats; his grandparents, Thomas, Mary Keats, Joseph and Ellen McLafferty; his sister Patricia Strom; and his son-in-law Kyle Platz.
He is survived by: his children, Beverly, Becky (Nathan) and Jesse (Brooklyn); his grandchildren, Sean, Rylan (Ali), Parry (Adrianna), Dylan (Chloe), Kyla, Kayden, Brittany, Keaton, Jase, Beth, Tianna, Jorell, Thomas and Bobby; his great grandchildren, Wesley and Olivia; his siblings, Francis Keats of Bow Island, AB, Jody Knapik (Dennis) of Brooks, Alberta, Colleen Campbell (Ross) of Courtenay, B. C., Nancy Geddes of Courtenay, B. C. and Kerri Watson (Curtis) of Leduc, AB; his godchildren, Rachelle Whiskeyjack and Holly-Rae Cardinal; and his siblings-in-law, Dennis (Eva), Wilfred Sr., Jimmy (Jackie) and Rhoda Cardinal of Saddle Lake, AB..
