He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Cardinal and Melanie Cardinal; and his siblings, David, George and Doreen.

He is survived by: his children, Brent Jackson (Julie), Brandon Cardinal (Katrina) and Treena Waskahat; his grandchildren, Faith, Rapheal, Malakai, Winter, Noah, Titus and Harlow; the mother of his children Bernice Jackson; his siblings, Ronald (Leona), Richard (Betty Ann), Lorne (Lena), Ira, Lonnie, Marie (Lorne), Lorraine (Peter), Evelyn (Adelard), Sarah and Dora Snow; and his sister-in-law Liz. He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
