He was predeceased by: his son James Kowal. He is survived by: his wife Eldora; and his children, Raymond (Rea), Art (Shelly), Karen (Ed) and Linda. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Memorial donations in Roman's name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Parkinson Association of Alberta.
