He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Prins and Dina Prins; his children, Dineke and Jim; his son-in-law Anthony Tekelenburg; and his granddaughter Juanita.
He is survived by: his significant other Maaike Dykstra (Mae); his daughter-in-law Marie Prins; and his daughters, Ann Vande Glind (Rein), Josephine Belder (Peter), Alice Tekelenburg and Margaret VandenBrink (John). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
