She is survived by: her daughters, Jane Burns (Susan Murray) and Lorna Merkley (Tim) of Sylvan Lake; her grandchildren, Robert Merkley (Brianna), John Merkley (Jordan), Matthew Merkley (Kelsey) and Julie Burns; her great grandchildren, Ailli, Jovi, Payton, Quinn, Rylie, Van, Liv, Violet, Camelon, Ainsley, Oliver, Edwin, Gavin and Alec; her brother Robert Nixon; her niece Ann Axon; and her great-nephew Stuart Axon.
Margaret battled Parkinson's disease for the last nine years of her life but maintained a razor-sharp mind and spritely disposition.
