He was predeceased by: his wife Lee Ann Stenberg (Skjonsberg); his brothers, Carl and Terry; his siblings-in-law, Carol Davies, Linda Scaber and Willy Scott; his children, Lora and Jason; his grandsons, Kaylib and Maxx; and his daughter-in-law Amanda Greenwood.

He is survived by: his parents, Bert Stenberg and Olga Stenberg; his siblings-in-law, Liduina Stenberg of Red Deer, Gwen Stenberg of Stettler, Bev Scott of Grande Prairie, Phil Davies and Ken Schaber of Olds; his aunt Dale; his cousin Chuck; and also, Gloria McCauley (John) of Barhead and Ed Barry of High River.
