He was predeceased by: his parents, Dessie Greenwood and Elmer Greenwood; his brother Arnold Greenwood; his siblings-in-law, Betty, Alf Miller and Roy Zuberbier; and also Rodney (Maxine Coombes).
He is survived by: his wife Lydia; his children, Kyle (Suzanne), Sarah, Aaron and Shelly (Troy); his granddaughters, Brooke Greenwood and Cassandra (Justin); his great grandchild Kennedy Hermiston; his stepgrandchildren, Alicia, Justin (Shannon), Danielle and Rebekah Houle; his stepdaughter Michelle Ford; his stepgrandchildren, Jordan and Jared; his stepdaughter Della Condie; his stepgrandchildren, Wes (Sarah) and Jolene Deboer; his stepson Tony; his stepgrandchildren, Ashley, Brienna and Ted Condie; and his sisters, Evelyn Zuberbier (Bill Butler) and Darleen Miller-MacKenzie (Bill MacKenzie). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations in Irvin's name may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Rocky Mountain House Health Care Centre or charity of the donor's choice.
