He was predeceased by: his parents, Benedict L. Smigle and Frances M. Smigle (Moody). He is survived by: his wife Deborah "Debbie" Smigle (Phillips); his children, Jacob Smigle of Calgary, Jessica "Jessie" Heron of Red Deer, Noel Smigle of Hinton and Leah Wheeldon; and his siblings, Calvin Smigle of Sacramento and Judy Klaves of Chico. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 nieces & nephews.
