It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Doreen Shippelt (Rocky Mountain House, Alberta), who passed away at the age of 81, on October 7, 2023. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mildred Kujala and Ensio Kujala; her husband Rudolph Shippelt; her brother Gerald; her daughter-in-law Nola Shippelt; and her grandson Kelly Smith.

She is survived by: her children, Erwin, Sharon Stauffer (Rick), Teresa Smith (Phil), Kevin (Tina) and Rita; her grandchildren, Wes Shippelt (Kristine), Taylor Stauffer, Shelley Lewis (Jordan), Brennen Smith, Kira Keast (Logen) and Curtis Shippelt (Kess Bramley); her great grandchildren, Collin, Graham, Jeremy Shippelt, Mackenzie and Carson Lewis; her sister Florence Wacher; and her sister-in-law Maria Kujala. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada and to the Olds Hospital Long Term Care.
