Dirk Opden Dries Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dirk Opden Dries of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, who passed away on May 16, 2024 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his son Curtis; his parents, Joanna Dries and Hank Opden Dries; his in-laws, Doeke and Ann Wadman; his nephew Darren Datema; his niece Jannel Sandstra; and his sister-in-law Cheryl Opden Dries.

He is survived by: his wife Jo-Ann; his daughter Jessie; his daughter-in-law Arlyn; his grandsons, Raph and Sean; his siblings, Swannie Datema (Gerald), John Opden Dries (Judy), Karl Opden Dries (Jane), Irene Manning (Mike) and Wayne Opden Dries (Lindsey); his close friends, Barry Bouwman, Eric Ashdown and Laurie Rowan; his special buddy Nixon Opden Dries; and his in-laws, Irma Wadman, Jeannette and Ernie Sandstra.

In memory of Dick, donations may be made to the Salvation Army and Tribal Trails.
