It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Vanderaa (Rocky Mountain House, Alberta), who passed away on April 8, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Chrissy Hainsworth and Tobe Hainsworth; her sister Bonnie Pickett; her brother-in-law Neil Pickett; and her nephew Travis Peter Mcnutt.

She is survived by: her children, Monica Tomyn (Wesley), Trent Vanderaa (Sandra), Trina Mcnutt and Trevor Vanderaa (Jen); her grandchildren, Chris (Ashley), Teagan (Ben), Jaycee, Denim, Brett, Vanessa (Dayne) and Sara (Aaron); her great grandchildren, Jaxxtyn, Quinn, Aryanna, Gavin, Braxtyn and Beckett; her sister Neva Christina Wolfson; and her nephews, Ryan and Kyle Pickett.

“With Greatest Sympathy to Ben, Monica, Trina, and Trent. Barb was my first babysitter at 6 months old, she had to be pretty special because my mom trusted nobody. Growing up Barb cheered us kids on at the picnics and we cheered her on at Baseball. She was a excellent Player. As an adult I remember her always helping out at any due that was held around the community. Barb was a wonderful lady. She will be sadly missed. Rest in peace our dear family friend.
