He was predeceased by: his wife Norma; his parents, Robert Gillespie and Lucy Gillespie; his siblings, Chuck, Alex and Kay Reid (Stromsmo); and his siblings-in-law, Leah, Peggy, Wendal Stromsmo, Alex Reid and Tom Culling.
He is survived by: his children, Peggy Martin (Dave) of Red Deer, Diane Longmire (John) of Gull Lake, Pat Gillespie (Penny) of Delacour and Hugh Dunham of Pincher Creek; his siblings, Bill, Dick (Sylvia), Helen Culling and Mary Makara (Doug); and his sister-in-law Doreen Gillespie. He is also survived by 5 Grandchildren, and 9 Great Grandchildren.
