She was predeceased by: her husband Samuel Edwin Parker; and her parents, Nina DesChamp and Manus DesChamp. She is survived by: her children, Sharon Griffith (Robert), Donna McAra (David), Brian Parker (Brenda) and Wayne Parker (Celia); and her siblings, George Hemeon and Ruth Richard (Norm Cooper). She is also survived by 8 Grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild.

Donations may be made in Fern's name to the Children's Burn Unit, Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, 3942-50a Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta T4N 4E7.
