With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Marlene Gartly (Redcliff, Alberta), born in Medicine Hat, Alberta, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Marlene left this world on April 23, 2025 at the age of 79, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Wahl and Ottelea Wahl; her siblings, Jacob, Robert, Alvin, Norman, Norma and Joyce; and her son-in-law Stan Sackman.
She is survived by: her husband Dale Gartly; her children, Lana Sackman, Allan Gartly (Natashia), Neil Gartly (Deandra) and David Gartly (Stephanie); her grandsons, Shane Sackman (Racquel) and Jason Sackman (Yanina); her great grandchildren, Jaxon Sackman and Emily Sackman; her grandchildren, Jadeyn Dubourt, Novalee Newton and Ellyette Newton; and her sister Alice Mehlhaff. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Redcliff Cemetery (700 2 St SW, Redcliff, AB T0J2P2).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Marlene's memory may be made to the Redcliff Library or the Medicine Hat SPCA.
