We bid farewell to Norma Hazel Cowan of Red Earth Creek, Alberta, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 27, 2025. Norma Hazel touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband Irvin; her parents, Elton Ford and Helen Ford; her siblings, Dale Ford and Ruth Puffalt; her daughter-in-law Glenda Estey; and her siblings-in-law, Edwin Puffalt, Alex Cowan (Gladys), Ken Cowan (Emmy), Leonard Cowan, Alvin Cowan, Grenald Cowan (Jean), Clifford Cowan, Berta Taylor (Tom Taylor), Ruby Church (Eugene Church) and Harriet Cowan.
She is survived by: her children, David Cowan (Sara) and Diane Wenz (Ken) of Kamloops; her grandchildren, Scott Cowan (Sandra), Bryan Cowan, Tanya Cowan, Amanda Knight, Tyler Cowan, Matthew Wenz (Lindsay) and Sarah Garton (Nathan); and her siblings-in-law, John Cowan of Edmonton, Percy Cowan of Calgary, Frances Cowan of Stettler and Carol Cowan of Calgary. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Vegreville Social Centre (4802 47 St, Vegreville, AB T9C1L1). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
