With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Valerie Beatrice Leeming (Red Deer, Alberta), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She is survived by: her children, Susanjane Horlock, Ian Horlock (Donna) and Derek Horlock; her grandchildren, Valerie (Matthew), Kristine (Chad), Ryan (Tiffany), Sarah (Dwayne) and Taylor (Henry); and her great grandchildren, Benjamin, Sawyer and Kaylynn. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

“Valerie brought so much joy to our Red Deer Scottish Country Dance Club. She loved to dance and she would always remind us to smile while we were dancing. And how many pairs of kilt socks did she knit. I know both of my sons each have a pair of kilt socks that Valerie knit. I especially remember her incredible devilled eggs she brought to all our get-togethers. She also was never shy about having "just a wee bit" of whiskey at our Christmas parties. We loved her and will miss her.”
