She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy Thorne and Howard Thorne; her niece Alicia; and her granddaughter Caitlin. She is survived by: her husband Bill Black; her children, Lori (Neil), Roger (Trina), Keith (Breanne) and Nova-Lee (Drisdel); her brother John (Joanne); her grandchildren, Kelsey, Brittany, Dillon, Alektra, Ashton, Ruby, Carter and Jaxson; and her great grandchild Charlee.

The family is asking in lieu of flowers that a memorial donation be made to The Alzheimer's Society in her honor.
