It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy John Scarlett of Red Deer, Alberta, born in Innisfail, Alberta, who passed away on January 26, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wife Darlene Scarlett; his siblings, Alice Hoar, Myrtle Puddifant and Edwin Scarlett; and his stepson David Harrington.
He is survived by: his wife Cordy Scarlett; his stepdaughter Karen Harrington; his daughter Cheryl Friesen (John); his grandchildren, Austin Giles (Ryley) and Harmony Giles; his daughter Leann Scarlett; his grandchildren, Jordan Riguidel, Kayd Riguidel (Drew Colbourne) and Meridel Layden (Garth); his great grandchildren, Ardelle Layden (Michael Franklin), Oliver, Elliott Layden (Ashley) and Quinn Layden (Brittni Steeves); and also Gord Riguidel. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
