He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter and Christina; his siblings, Ben, Tom, Albert, Jim, Sidney, Grace Harper, Colleen Gould and Margaret Wight; and his mother-in-law Edith Dunne.

He is survived by: his wife Kay; his son Monte (Debbie); his grandchildren, Carmen (Kyle Thorne) and Kelly; and his great grandchild Ally Thorne.
