It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert James McMeekin of Red Deer, Alberta, born in Eckville, Alberta, who passed away on December 2, 2022, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter McMeekin and Cecilia McMeekin; his niece Leslie Bilawchuk; his sister Carole Bilawchuk; and his brothers-in-law, Paul Viala and Chuck Bilawchuk.
He is survived by: his wife Karen; and his siblings, Margaret Viala, Maureen Coulter (Tom), Bruce (Gwen) and Peter. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
