She was predeceased by: her daughter Shelley Schafer; her sons-in-law, Ed Schafer and Bill Bailes; her grandson Chad Bailes; and her brother-in-law Cecil Milne.

She is survived by: her children, Frances Bailes, Wade Ackerman (Valerie), Jeff Ackerman (Marnie), Jennifer Gillies (Rod) and Candace Johnston (Barry); and her sisters, Pearl Milne and Beada Reich (Ron). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Cancer Society, Heart and stroke Foundation, Foundation for Prader-Willi Research Canada or the SPCA.
