With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael J. Dawe of Red Deer, Alberta, who passed away on December 24, 2023 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, G. H. Dawe (Harold) and L. J. Dawe (Jean); and his uncle W. B. Dawe (Wellington). He is survived by: his nephew Dr. Michael Jensen; his close friend Beverly Williams; his siblings, Robbin Dawe and Dorothy Dawe (Barry Dommasch); and his aunt Rita A. Hodgkinson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and grandnieces.

If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made in memory of Michael to the Red Deer Hospital Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of your choice.

“We have known Michael for many, years since we first came to reside in Red Deer and lived in a small house in Parkvale. Michael was housesitting next door and was our neighbour What a wonderful, generous soul! Also my mother, Muriel Underwood, from the Pine Lake area, knew Michael's mom and they were friends and teachers years ago. I always thought of Michael as Mr. Red Deer. I will miss him, and the mischievous "twinkle" in his eyes, as all of Red Deer area will! Sincere Condolences!”
