It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mederick Bruce Thorne of Red Deer, Alberta, born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, who passed away on August 26, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Janet Margaret Thorne of Red Deer; his sons, Mark Anthony Thorne and Malcolm John Thorne; his daughter-in-law Kim Denise Thorne; his grandson Luke James A. Thorne; and his sisters, Gladys Soper and Dorothy Larsen. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
