It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marie Inez Empey of Red Deer, Alberta, born in Four Falls, New Brunswick, who passed away on June 11, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Byron Scott and Rachel Scott; her husband Arnold Empey; her former husband Samuel Oakes; her daughter Joyce; her grandson Marty; and her siblings, Stella Armstrong, Ralph Scott, Madeline Crossman, Alfred Scott, Carl Scott and Bill Scott.

She is survived by: her siblings, Reta Harrison and Don Scott; and her children, Ann, Peter (Charlene), Harold (Cathy), Marilyn (Rick), Sharon, Earl, Tom (June) and Amy. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
