She was predeceased by: her parents, Adeline Schmalz and Otto Schmalz; her brothers, Ernest and Lloyd; and her daughter Shelley (John Norman).
She is survived by: her children, Lori Nicholson (David) of Red Deer, Rod Bergdal (Carole) of Creston, B. C, Lea and Norm; her grandchildren, Derek Bergdal, Kyle Nicholson and Joel Nicholson; and her siblings, Elfrieda of Calgary, AB and Dennis of Kelowna, B. C..
