He was predeceased by: his parents, Anders Kjearsgaard and Betty Kjearsgaard; and his brother-in-law Bill Kure. He is survived by: his wife Faye; his children, Ian, Joel (Rachel) and Dana (Andrew); his grandchildren, Zachary (Miranda), Maeghan, Carson, Lydia, Remy, Sage and Anders; his sisters, Linda (Larry), Sonja and Sharon (Perry); and his nieces and nephews, Deanna (Jarett), Karina (David), Jess (Christiane), Landon and Mitchell (Amber). He is also survived by great nieces and nephews; many cousins, relatives.

Memorial donations may be made in Larry's name to the Danish Canadian Museum or the Stephan G. Stephansson Icelandic Society.
