He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Hosking; his parents, Jozef Sztajnert and Marianna Sztajnert of Poland; and his siblings, Henryk of Poland, Jozef of Poland, Stanislaw of Poland, Wieslawa Majerska of Poland, Maria Jachimowicz of Poland and Czeslaw of Chicago.
He is survived by: his children, Kristyna Ann (Edward), Warner, Gail Maria Fischer and Paul Antony Sztainert (Debbie Lois); his grandchildren, Sarah Margaret (Hayden), Knorr, Travis Kazimierz Sztainert (Chrissy), Ryan Tyler Sztainert and Nicholas John Fischer; his great grandchildren, Antonius Sztainert and Lewis Knorr; his sisters, Genowefa (Genia), Mikoajun and Anna Marczk of Poland; his cousin Sweden; his daughter Barbara (Rod); his grandchildren, Jen and Derrick; his great grandchild A. J. Kazik; and also, Kristyna, Barbara and Margaret Dawson (Jim). He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces.
