He is survived by: his children, Leanne Murdoch of Calgary, Barbara Lindsay (David) of Calgary, Douglas Murdoch (Tracy) of Walhachin, Gordon Murdoch of Red Deer, Kevin Murdoch (Teresa) of Eckville, Heather Michael (Ken) of Spruce Grove and Robert Murdoch (Laura) of Red Deer; his sister Margaret Dinnery; and his wife Agnes. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
