He was predeceased by: his parents, Helga Bergdal and John Bergdal; and his sister Bernice. He is survived by: his wife Lea; his daughter Lori Nicholson (David) of Red Deer; his grandchildren, Kyle of Australia and Joel (Bri) of Calgary; his sons, Rod (Carole) of Creston, BC and Derek of Calgary; his niece Patti Dalsin; his nephews, Brett Adams and Ernie Newans of Kelowna, BC.; and his siblings-in-law, Dennis Baldwin of Kelowna, BC and Elfrieda LaLonde of Calgary, AB.. He is also survived by three nieces in the USA, several cousins and many wonderful friends.
