She was predeceased by: her husband Aage; her brother Bendt; and her parents, Hans and Tulle. She is survived by: her children, Anne-Lise Skaaning of Delia, Linda Leslie (Kevin) of Cochrane, Jack Skaaning of Texas, U. S. A., Ken Skaaning (Darlene) of Lacombe, Bob Skaaning of Red Deer and Kurt Skaaning of Calgary.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alberta Children's Hospital or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
