She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Bystrom and Ida Bystrom; her husband Casey Vander Leek; her brother Lloyd; and her sister-in-law Kay Bystrom.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Warner (Tim) of Airdrie, Shirley McAllister (Roger) of Red Deer and Richard Vander Leek (Wilma) of Red Deer; her grandchildren, Miranda Bass (Kevin), Michael Warner (Tara) and Lisa Dutchak (Grant); her children, Adam McAllister (Anna), Vanessa Trimble (Brandt), Matthew Vander Leek (Stephanie), Justine Bromley (Andrew), Karissa Johnson (Andrew) and Brayden Vander Leek (Katrina); her sisters, Marjorie Patjas (Lee) and Gladys Bolton (Ed); and her sister-in-law Greta Hoogland (Frits). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
