It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerardus Johannes Janssens in Red Deer, Alberta, who passed away on January 8, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Twyla Janssens; his parents, Maria Janssens and Arnoldus Johannes Janssens; his sister Liz Janssens; and his nephew Eric Allam.

He is survived by: his sister Terry (Richard); his children, Stephen, David and Ashley (Greg); his grandchild Gabe Harden; his daughter Jennifer (Bart); his grandchildren, Piper and Lincoln; his stepson Wayne Sissons (LeeAnne); his children, Joshua Sissons (Michelle), Eden, Leon, Wilder, Javin Sissons (Martha Zabel), Brittney Sissons (Mike Zapatinas), Arielle Herrmann (Patrick), Alivia, Courtenay Heidebrecht (Jonathan), Gabe and Isabela; his stepson Murray Sissons (Hetty); his children, Amy Sissons (Guus Luijten), Kristi Rogers (Mike), Deklan, Gavin and Michael Sissons (Valentina Belcastro); his stepdaughter Treena Roden (Rob); and his children, Megan Simon (Neil), Emily, Ethan, Scott Roden (Elizabeth) and Alexia.
