As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Donald may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Allan Mattila and Viola Mattila. He is survived by: his wife Joan; and his children, Melanie (Jeff) and Ryan. He is also survived by his in-laws, aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces plus great nephews and great nieces.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Dementia/Alzheimer's of Alberta in his memory.
