He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Delbert Newans; his stepfather Henry Nelson; his uncle Byron Newans; his aunt Ada; his mother Madeleine Nelson; his siblings, Deb Neis (Doug), Donna Valckx (Lou), Dianne Carless (Eddy), Ernie Newans (Alice) and Steven Newans (Kimiko); his children, Tanner Newans (Jaclyn), Skylar Newans and Kayla Newans; and his grandchildren, Asher and Emmett.

A Celebration of Life for David will be held at Wilson's Funeral Chapel - due to the present Covid restrictions it will be by invitation only.
