She was predeceased by: her husband Wayne Alvin Johnston; and her brothers, John and Kenny Rosenau. She is survived by: her children, Dean Johnston (Michelle Colter), Brenda Besuijen (Ron) and Kevin Johnston; her grandchildren, Brett Johnston (Alex Rocchio), Keegan Johnston, Joel Johnston and Leah Besuijen; and her great grandchild Eleanor Johnston.
