He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Helen (Chykerda); and his brother Dale. He is survived by: his significant other Ena Small; his siblings, Wayne (Joan), Debbie and Lynn; his nephew Joshua; his significant other's children, Jason (Misty), Nathan and Shara (Russell); and also, Rhett (Louise), Tatum, Dylan and Drew. He is also survived by cousins, relatives and friends.
