He was predeceased by: his parents, Nikolas Walz and Katherine Walz. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Reichert; his son Duane (Karen); his grandsons, Jonathan and Justin; his daughter Tammy (Todd); his grandchildren, Logan (Kate) and Kirsti; and his son Brent. He is also survived by brothers, nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Provost Cemetery or the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
