He was predeceased by: his parents, Katherine Stang (Kohlman) and John Stang; his parents-in-law, Reinhold and Barbara Weinkauf; his brother Alex Stang; and his parents-in-law, Doug Rissling, Otto Weinkauf, Pius Brost, Gabe Feser, John Rolheiser, Bruno Stang, Ron and Angie Weinkauf.
He is survived by: his wife Rosemarie Weinkauf; his children, Anita, Dale (Darlene), Daryl (Maureen) and Kevin; his grandchildren, Leon, Devin (Tianna), Tamara (Nathan), Kayla, Tori, Reanne, Mishaela, Colton (Alexandra), Lane, Shelby, Adine, Paige and Carson; his great grandchildren, Thea, Jade and Ella; his sisters, Rosemarie Herbst, Madeline Wulff (Jerry), Irene Stang (Edmund) and Angie Steuerwald (Robert); and his parents-in-law, Judy Stang, Eleanora Brost, Hilda Feser, Agnes Rolheiser, Augustine Stang and Pauline Wildeman (Denis). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Fifteen years ago, he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, but it did not affect his sense of humor.
