It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Diane Lois Ellwood (Provost, Alberta), born in Melfort, Saskatchewan, who passed away at the age of 79, on May 9, 2020. She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Kris and Alec Melnechuk; her parents-in-law, Anna and Fred Ellwood; her brother Dale Melnechuk; and her siblings-in-law, Donald Ellwood, Hazel, Albert Gerling and Ed Bleier.
She is survived by: her sisters-in-law, Gerrie Melnechuk and Sharon Dushaire; and her nephew Greg Melnechuk. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Due to the restrictions of Covid-19, we are not able to host a Public Memorial Service for Diane at this time.
Unfortunately Alzheimer's took away our mom too soon - robbing her, not only of memories and the recognition of familiar faces, but of a great deal of her essence and her freedom but still her spirit, open nature, and joys were evident to the end.
