He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Callan and Mary Callan; and his siblings, Margaret (Des), Arthur (Anne), Roseleen (Patrick), Teresa (Jim) and Josie (Noel).

He is survived by: his wife Rae Tompkins. He is also survived by his family home in Priddis all friends and family.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to made the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Foundation of Calgary.
