He is survived by: his son Vernon Jr.; his grandchildren, Talia, Blaze, Honey, DeAndre and Jordan Buffalo; his daughter Lorenda Checkosis; his grandchildren, Hazedon, Kazedon, Joeden and Doneika Checkosis; his daughters, Cheyenne and Shaylene Buffalo; and his siblings, Beatrice, Dorothy (Ronald), Charlotte (Gary), Judy, Delorna (Craig), Sheryl (Cyrus) and Darryl.
