He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Yellowbird and Joseph Spence; his siblings, Emil Spence, Apps Yellowbird, Jim Yellowbird and Doris Yellowbird; the mothers of children, Carlene Nepoose, Amelia Johnson and Sylvia Yellowhorse; his grandparents, Frank and Isabelle Yellowbird; and his children, Lance Nepoose, Tyrone Yellowhorse, Scot "Speedy" Yellowhorse and Pollyann Yellowhorse.

He is survived by: his children, Troy, Stan Nepoose, Jay Bearhead, Stephan Rowan, Ricky Yellowhorse, Emil Yellowhorse, John Quinney and Tammy Rowan; his siblings, Mary Rain, Shirley Yellowbird, Marianne Yellowbird and Bobby Stewart; and his friend Maryrose Johnson. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, neices, nephews, relatives, and friends.
