Mabel Nelson Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mabel Nelson of Ponoka, Alberta, who passed away on June 6, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Bob Nelson; her grandson Blair; her granddaughter-in-law Nicola Poulter; and her siblings, Bill McDermand, Charles McDermand, Dave McDermand, Roy McDermand and Anne Waddy.

She is survived by: her sons, Allyn (Rita) of Colinton and Ron (Denise) of Evansburg; her grandchildren, James Nelson (Jo) of Edmonton, Dooley Nelson of Edmonton, Kirby Jensen of Fallis and Kelsey Nelson of Edmonton; her great grandchildren, Allyn, Mikayla Nelson, Brooke and Kade Jensen; her siblings, Arthur McDermand (Jean) and Merle Walker; and her sister-in-law Alexi McDermand. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Stollery Children's Hospital or the Northcott Care Centre in Ponoka.
