She is survived by: her children, Steven Boist (Sheri) of Breton and Dawn Kroening (Travis) of Ponoka; her grandchildren, Christopher, Tyson Boist, Katie, Joe and Ella Kroening; and her sisters, Marie Sveahun (John) and Linda Stone. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

“Regretfully, we missed attending Janice's "Celebration of Life". I am sure it was a true celebration & lovely tribute to the "smiling nurse lady". Janice improved the quality of so many lives, as a dedicated, care giver & as a trustworthy friend. Her topics of choice were her children & grand children; but she was always ready for a rousing discussion about advances in of medicine. or current world events But her greatest ability was to actively listen, and hear without judgement. “I met Janice when she lived in Breton & instructed for St. John Ambulance. It was so wonderful surprise to meet up with her again while she was doing home care and she was attending to my husband’s leg wound in 2009. She had seen us both thru some extensive health issues before her retirement but continued to be our foot care person until last Nov. Janice has become over the 11 years, a special friend who will greatly miss. Our deepest condolences to all of you at this time. Gary and Linda”
