With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary Wayne Spelrem of Ponoka, Alberta, who passed away on April 3, 2023 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald "Glen" Spelrem and Opal Spelrem; his brother Deryl; and his siblings-in-law, Pat and Murray.

He is survived by: his wife Darlene; his daughter Anne; his grandson Brennan; his daughter Tonya (Neil); his granddaughters, Meaghan (Devon), Josephine and Kaitlynn (Hafid); his great grandchild Zia; his daughter Lara (Al); his granddaughter C. C.; his great grandchildren, Marlee and Charlie; his grandsons, Jesse and Liam; his children, James and Sarah (Keith); his granddaughter Lili (Colby); his great grandchildren, Koda, Jordynn and Brynlee; his grandchildren, Elaynna (Jeff) and Evan; his son Mica; his grandchildren, Noah and Courtney; his daughter Stacy (Ralph); his grandson Zachary (Alicia); his great grandchild Felix; his granddaughter Aaryn (Josh); his great grandchildren, Damian, August and Xavier; his granddaughter Felicity; his daughter Denise (Mike); his grandson Anton; his great grandchildren, Julie, Sebastian and Tristan; his granddaughter Clerissa (Michael); his great grandchildren, Seth and Ren; and his siblings, Sylvia Bystedt, Janet Van Housen (Bob) and Roger (Norma). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
