It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dexter Giroux (Ponoka, Alberta), who passed away on October 13, 2019, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Susan Giroux and John Giroux; his grandparents, John, Jeannie Ermineskin and Panee Ermineskin; his brothers, Richard, David "Tiny", Curtis Sr., Earl Sr., Ralph Giroux, Danny Montour, Dennis Okeynan and Simon Omeasoo; his sons, Dwayne and Wesley Giroux; his grandchildren, Jeanice, Joe Giroux and Kalsey Roasting; and also, George (Celina), Gilbert (Cecilla), Fred (Irene), Jimmy Ermineskin, Mary Jane Saddleback (Louie), Philomene Samson, Sean Crane, Kimberly Morin and Adopted.
He is survived by: the mother of his children Carolyn White Quills; his children, Kevin Sr. (Cassandra), Dexter Jr. (Katrina), Trevor (Misty), Christopher (Roxanne), Tim Giroux, Daylon Giroux, Shelly (Terry), Nikkita, Tanis and Kristen Lewis; and his siblings, Rene Giroux, Lorraine Giroux, Hazel (Harley), Wendy (Noel), Tina (Berry), Sheila Omeasoo and Edna Bouche. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and great grandchildren.
