He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Baile and Irene Baile of Red Deer; and his daughter Loretta Smith. He is survived by: his wife Margaret; and his children, Wendy Wilson (Glenn), Allan Baile (Kim) and Sharon Lugg (Dave). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives, and friends.

Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.

“Marg and family, It is with q heavy heart I write this. We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Bill. I admired his compassion for animals and birds. I am so glad he and David met on rural crime watch. When we moved Dave and Bill talked on the phone so much. They were on forever but never had much to say. Now they can discuss things to their hearts content. May you hold forever what a nice kind man he was. We will send a donation to the cancer foundation. All our best, Bev and Stewart Roy”
