He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dzus and Mary Dzus; his siblings, Morris Dzus, Gene Dzus, Alex Dzus, Emelia Stonehouse and Stella Laberge; his son David; and his grandson Justin Dzus.

He is survived by: his wife Alice; his grandchildren, Wade Konotopsky, Zachary Waldner, Elisa Dzus, Carrie Wirth (Konotopsky), Tamara Dell (Dzus), Kyla Dzus and Tanya Dzus; and his siblings, Cecelia Jacobson (Jacob) and Sylvester Dzus (Lois).
