With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Pauline Veronica Smith of Pincher Creek, Alberta, born in Fort Macleod, Alberta, who passed away on December 29, 2023 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Dexter Smith Sr.; her son Luke Smith; her husband John Yellow Wings; her grandparents, Richard, Alice White Elk (Black Water), Paul and Suzie Smith (Yellow Wings); and her uncles, Fraser, Arthur White Elk, Floyd (Mary Ann), Arnold (Sherry), Percy, Bernard and Dusty Smith.
She is survived by: her mother Veronica Smith; her children, Tyler Smith, Jaclyn Yellowhorn (Steve) and Daisy Smith; her great grandchildren, Shawnee, Joellen, Timothy, Cailin, Tavian, Keegan, Mercedes (Tricia), Kenton, Payton, Luke and Zahara; her siblings, Edward Baptiste, Joslin (Edwin), Rick (Marcia), Pete, Kirby (Penny), Dexter, Tawyla, Terri Smith, Arlene North Peigan, Fraser and Archie White Elk; her aunts and uncles, Eloise, Florence Pilling (Heber), Adeline, Roberta, Beulah, Elaine Smith, Mike Smith (Joanne), Grace Young, Sally Black and Clifford Healy (Melvina); and her nephew Slade. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
