He is survived by: his wife Patricia Dechant of Edmonton; his children, Bev Gray of Canmore, AB, Danny Dechant (Carol) of Grande Prairie, AB, Wayne Dechant (Olga) of Calgary, AB and Doug Dechant (Melanie) of Sturgeon County, AB; his grandchildren, Jane Gray, James Gray, Trae Lanti, Clay Lapp (Brittany), Sidney Conlon (Corey), Braidyn Lapp, Logan Dechant, Alyssa Dechant and Drew Dechant; his siblings, Irene Zetaruk of Vernon, BC, Angela Knieval of Manning, AB, Lena Walisser of Manning, AB, Pauline Tomkinson (Don) of Calgary, AB and Raymond (Heather) of Edmonton, AB; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Dechant and Sheila Dechant. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
